Meridian Minerals is committed to conducting our operations in a responsible manner as to minimise our impact on the environment whilst still allowing our projects to be commercially viable.

Respect for the environment is fundamental to Meridian Minerals’ approach to sustainable development. Meridian Minerals will respect the environment by operating responsibly and demonstrating leadership in all aspects of mining in order to be given the ready access the Company will need to people, land and funds.

Meridian Minerals will adhere to all environmental laws and regulations applicable to our operations and where adequate laws do not exist, adopt and apply standards that reflect the Company's commitment to the environment.

The Company commits to studying the environmental impacts of our work throughout the exploration, development and mining cycle, and to implement practices to reduce this impact.

In order to fulfil our commitment to minimise our environmental impact we will:

• Assess the environmental impacts of our activities whilst aiming to be a leader in environmental performance in order to reduce our environmental footprint and meet community expectations to support sustainable development
• Implement systems to reduce our impact on the environment, reduce emissions, increase recycling, and efficient use of energy and water resources
• Ensure environmental impacts are considered during planning and operational processes
• Ensure appropriate information, training, communication and supervision is provided to all employees, contractors and suppliers to meet our environmental commitments and responsibilities, thereby ensuring they are informed of and understand their obligations in respect of this policy
• Interact with traditional landowners and value their environmental knowledge
• Rehabilitate areas affected by our operations to a state agreed upon by stakeholders
